Buescher State Park
Photos and travel narration by Jenny Rasmussen July 5, 1999

This is the road that leads from Bastrop State Park to Buescher State Park.  It's about 10 miles long and a really nice drive.
This is a Turk's Cap flower that I stopped to take a picture of along the roadway.

There was a cute family of Red-bellied Woodpeckers at this tree.  The photo is too dark to see the red head and black and white back, but trust me they were really pretty birds!

I stopped at the Texas State Parks Store to pick up a map of Texas showing all of the state parks.  Maybe I'll visit them all!
Next stop....   Rice-Osborne Bird and Nature Trail at the Fayetteville Power Plant lake.
