Day 8
The doctor in charge during Day 2 of Becky's treatment:
Becky's room at the hospital has 4 beds (her's is Bed #13):
Looking down the hall of the wing we were in:
Becky getting the I.V. in her forehead:
Drip, drip, drip (bottle takes about an hour to empty):
She stayed pretty quiet though:
And still keeps an interest in her new daddy:
Doc takes a last look, and says we need to come back tomorrow:
Walking out the front door of the hospital, you can see just how crazy
it really is. 3000 kids a day are treated at this hospital of 500
beds:
A photo of the taxi driver going at light speed to the hotel. Oh
yes, we feel safe.
ShaSha hands us Becky's new "papers". :-)
The sun came out again, and the fog is lifting. The views from
our hotel room got much better. Looking Southeast:
Looking east:
A zoom in of the center square in Chongqing (as seen from our hotel
window):
The entrance to the city center (looks like maybe in preparation for
Spring Festival):
Looking west - 3 new buildings going up right next door:
Some snack cakes I got at the store. The english translations of
their slogans sometimes come across pretty funny:
Looking south out our window - with the Yangtze River seperating us
from the mountainour world beyond:
Looking northeast:
Becky feeling better, and having fun again:
Got some KFC for dinner. Wow! Look at those portions!
The fog cleared out big time that night. Gave us a chance to
capture the views once again from our hotel room:
Again, looking at the center square. All lit up like Times Square.
A border of red, white, and blue along the Yangtze:
Caught a cruise ship as it traveled up river:
