Sept 13 (approx 2pm) Here she is laying an egg.
(apparently the Scarlet Pea is a suitable host plant!)
The egg was very tiny (see below in center -
on the side of a bud) and looked blue in color,
though difficult to tell due to the tiny size.
Sept 14 (approx 10pm) tiny caterpillar (larva) eating a flower.
The caterpillar seems to agree that Scarlet Pea is a good larval food
plant.
