I am so excited to offer diaper covers made
with this amazing organic merino wool fabric. The fabric made its
debut on the runway in New York in February 2005. It is the first
100% accredited organic merino wool being knit for the upscale fashion
market. Organic fabric reflects manufacturing in which the process
and components involved in knitting and finishing are environmentally responsible.
The fabric is made from certified organic wool yarn representing the highest
level of integrity with regard to caring for the environment, the animals
that grow the wool, and how the fiber is processed.

Customer
comments for the organic merino wool pants:
"I recently received a pair of your gorgeous organic wool pants
for my son. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love them! I wish
he had been wearing these at night ever since he was born. I have used
them on him every night for about two weeks and so far I have just aired
them out a window or over a clothes horse for a couple of hours and they
smell really fresh again."
"WOW. They are super soft (much more soft from the start than
the jersey was…but the jersey is softer now after months of use), I can
only imagine how soft they will get. I also love their stretch –
they will last so much longer than the jersey ones. Let’s see, I
love their thickness, it isn’t too thick or thin. I used these pants
last night and she totally soaked a hemp SOS, but she was dry on the outside.
TMI here – I could wring pee out of her dipe this morning, and her pants
were dry. WOW."
"The pants are so beautifully made and the fabric is perfect and
soft!"
"The pants are so soft! I love the extra diaper layer inside
too. I used them overnight and had no leaks!"
"I think that they are already my husband's favorite - every time
he changes her she's back in the pants. She has been living in her
covers....while I love the knit ones that she has, these are softer on
her skin and so trim. We love them - thank you!"
"I got my shorts today and they are beautiful!!! I am now
wishing your pants and shorts were my entire stash! What a well thought
out design!! Love them love them love them!!!!"
More information about the wool pants:
1) made with 100% organic merino wool: This is very important
to me, especially because I worry about the pesticides and chemicals applied
to most wool that will be near my baby's skin. I also use organic elastic
for the pants.
2) machine-washable: The fabric is very easy to care for and
gets softer with each wash. You can even wash the pants/shorts with
your regular laundry occasionally if you don't use bleach. My daughter
fell in the muddy lake the other day and her pink merino wool pants were
completely covered in mud (inside and out), but I came home and machine-washed
them right away with regular detergent and they look as good as new.
If I am washing all of my wool covers/pants together I use lanolin-shampoo
instead of regular detergent and then bypass the rinse cycle and spin,
then lay flat or hang to dry. After six months of using wool fabric
pants I haven't hand-washed them even once (I like to say I'm not lazy
- just too busy with other things). I usually machine wash every
week or two, or if they get dirty from food and mud.
3) pants and diaper cover in one: These pants have a second
layer sewn inside in the diaper area so they will work even for heavy wetters
over-night. I tested them with one layer as well, but I really like having
the extra protection of a second layer around the diaper to prevent leaks.
4) economical: One of my company goals is to provide organic
products that everyone can afford, and I realize the cost of knit longies
is high for most people especially in the larger sizes. With these
pants you get the softness of merino and the machine-washable convenience
of fabric. I also believe these pants will have a higher resale value
because they will stay looking nice longer than knit longies.
5) money-back guarantee: As with all my products, I hope for
100% satisfied customers, so I will give you a complete refund if you return
the pants unused within 30 days.
